Admission Requirement

Who Can Apply:
RCB welcomes applications from individuals who are blind or visually impaired from aged 13 and above, seeking accessible education, training, or rehabilitation services. We admit students from across Nigeria and neighboring regions, including those with additional learning needs.

To complete your application, ensure you have the following:

  • Completed online or physical application form
  • Medical report confirming visual impairment
  • Birth certificate or valid ID
  • Academic records or transcripts (if applicable)
  • 2 recent passport-sized photographs
  • Referral letter from a parent, guardian, school, or medical provider (optional but encouraged)

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Have a documented vision impairment or blindness
  • Be able to benefit from RCB’s academic, vocational, or rehabilitation services
  • Be willing to participate in all program activities, including mobility training, life skills, and assistive tech classes
  • Agree to abide by the center’s guidelines and policies

Admission Process

At the Resource Center for the Blind (RCB), we’ve made the admission process straightforward and inclusive to ensure every eligible applicant can easily apply.

Step 1: Complete Application Form

Fill out the admission form online or in person with your personal, educational, and medical details. This is your first step to joining RCB.

Step 2: Submit Required Documents

Provide the following: Medical report confirming visual impairment, Academic records (if available), Valid ID or birth certificate and Passport photographs.

Step 3: Review & Admission Decision

The RCB team reviews your application and documents. If qualified, you’ll be invited for a brief interview or assessment. Successful applicants will receive an official admission offer and next steps.
