Who we are
Established in 2018, the Resource Center for the Blind (RCB) stands as a vital initiative under the Jubrila Ayinla Foundation – a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing access to community-based services and uplifting the less privileged.
RCB is committed to offering solace and empowerment, focusing on rehabilitation and training for individuals with visual impairments, facilitating their journey towards independent and productive lives.
The Resource Center for the Blind (RCB) is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering blind and visually impaired individuals in Nigeria through inclusive education, skills training, and life-changing support services.
We believe that visual impairment should never be a barrier to independence, opportunity, or dignity. Our work bridges the accessibility gap by offering Braille literacy, assistive technology training, mobility support, and vocational development programs.
With a passionate team, dedicated partners, and a growing community of advocates, we are building a more inclusive society—one empowered life at a time.
Our approach
At RCB, we take a holistic, human-centered approach to empowerment—one that goes beyond aid to foster real independence and inclusion. Our programs are designed around the core needs of blind and visually impaired individuals, combining:
We partner with communities, government bodies, and other NGOs to build systems of support that are sustainable, scalable, and inclusive. Every step we take is shaped by empathy, dignity, and impact.
A world where all visually impaired are empowered.
This belief drives everything we do at RCB—from our training programs to our advocacy work.
